Mitchell's Miracles Charity was founded in 2012, in memory of a 7 year old boy called Mitchell Huth, who sadly lost his life to Neuroblastoma a childhood cancer.

What Is Neuroblastoma?

Neuroblastoma is the 2nd most aggressive solid tumour cancer in all registered childhood cancers. It affects mostly affects children under the age of 5 years.

Neuroblastoma cancer starts in early nerve cells called neuroblasts

How Mitchell's Miracles helps:

  • Offer financial assistance to parents of children undergoing treatment for Neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer.
  • Provide emotional support to families navigating the profound changes that come with a child’s diagnosis.
  • Offer practical guidance on benefit entitlements and assist with understanding and processing claims.
  • Collaborate with social workers and nurses across specialist oncology hospitals to raise awareness of our services and extend support to affected families.
  • Deliver gifts to children and their siblings on special national holidays like Easter and Christmas.
  • Supply immunotherapy backpacks and Hickman line bags to children undergoing treatment.

Mitchell's Miracles is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and families affected by Neuroblastoma. They work tirelessly to provide support, raise awareness, and ensure that no family has to face this journey alone.

New project - “Bravery Blanket”

Our goal is to provide every child undergoing treatment for Neuroblastoma with a fleece bravery blanket kit to offer warmth, comfort, and a meaningful way to express their journey.

How It Works:
With each treatment, surgery, or challenging procedure, the child will tie a new fleece square to their growing blanket. They will also attach a cotton patch where they can draw a picture or write a message reflecting their emotions.

Over time, this transforms into a personalized bravery blanket, symbolizing their strength and resilience. Not only does it provide warmth and comfort during their treatment, but it also becomes a treasured keepsake of their courage throughout their journey.
